Are you passionate about technology in education? Do you have the skills to manage and optimise a Moodle learning platform that supports thousands of students and staff? We’re looking for a Moodle Back-End Manager / Administrator to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and integration of our learning management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain our Moodle LMS, including upgrades, backups, and performance tuning.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and enrolments.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide second-line technical support.
- Integrate Moodle with third-party tools (e.g., Zoom, Turnitin, H5P).
- Ensure security, compliance, and data privacy (e.g., POPIA/GDPR).
- Support academic teams in leveraging Moodle for teaching and learning.
Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Educational Technology, or related field or proven experience
- 2+ years of experience administering Moodle or similar LMS.
- Available immediately
Preferred:
- Experience in a higher education or training environment.
- Familiarity with reporting tools, Moodle plugins, and basic scripting.
